Re: NVA AP10P
I haven't been anywhere lately to do any comparative listening, although that should change this holiday as I hope things come together. Alex (local Brio R owner) is so overburdened with work and family it's unlikely I'll get more than a quick cuppa on an afternoon he finds himself working from home.

Re: NVA AP10P
I still say there is nothing like the AP10p on the market, it is unique for the musical quality involved.
Bedroom, a AP10p, decent CD player or computer or i(whatever) type feed, a small pair of Royds, or JPWs. Headphones if you or the wife / girlfriend want to sleep, or rumpy dumpy music for a bit of rumpy dumpy. Or simply romantic snuggle music - everyone should have one.

Re: NVA AP10P
Shane, sorry for being so bullish, but I still think the AP10P should be a keeper, whatever you do with everything else. The little Rogers Cadet III I had for a few weeks in 1975 should have been kept in a cupboard too, as it was mint and so sweet sounding, bought for £15!

Re: NVA AP10P
I had an AP10P for just over a week. I returned it and got a passive unit to use with a pair of A40's I'd got 2nd-hand.
Whilst I had it I was really impressed. It was a lot better than my older Audiolab 8000a. Better in the sense that I enjoyed listening more. Neutral and detailed I suppose.
For the money I would say unsurpassable.

Primare CD22. Primare DAB/FM radio. SSP to NVA AP70 and AP10H(JS) with Denon AH-D7100's. LS5 to Cube2's.

Re: NVA AP10P
Well the 8000a certainly has its fans. To some people the 8000a is one of those ''hero'' or ''giant killer'' amps. But each to his/her own!
Anyway, my AP10P is here. Just leaving the system to warm up a little.

The 8000a belongs to the same bin as the Pioneer A400, yes, read the rag and tried it, nuff said.southall-1998 wrote:Well the 8000a certainly has its fans. To some people the 8000a is one of those ''hero'' or ''giant killer'' amps. But each to his/her own!
