@Savvypaul - Interesting , I was assuming that I would plug as many components into the BMU as possible to get most benefit. You reckon a long extension lead into the BMU then amps etc into that has no detriment?

Correct. No difference. Use a decent quality mains block with a captive lead, not IEC.

There is a desktop computer unit in between my BMU and hifi components. Because of the length of the leads i can plug my A80s directly into it. The other components are plugged into a quality block running off the BMU.
Main System

Sonore OpticalRendu, Chord Mscaler & Qutest, Sbooster PSs

DH Labs ethernet, BNC & USB cables, Farnells cat 8 ethernet cable

Second System

Sonore MicroRendu, Chord Mojo 2 MCRU PSs, AQ Carbon USB cable & JB FMJ

Headphones

Hoping to do the same as I’ve asked Doc for 2 metre mains leads on my A80s

I've always thought that as well as the sound quality, obviously, it's little touches like that that make NVA, and the Doc, stand out. I don't know of many amplifier designers/manufacturers that...

a) You can chat with directly and get an honest opinion as to what you actually need rather than what they want to sell you.
b) Will chop and change little things like the length of mains cables to suit the customer.

I now return you to your thread.

There was a question....

How far is ‘far enough’ with the BMU? Could owners comment please?

So far no comments. Is there a minimum distance for the BMU to sit away from power amps et al?

Run an extension block from one of the BMU sockets, then you can have the BMU at least a few metres away and out of sight. If there is no hum then it is far enough away, but I don't see the need or desire to locate the BMU very close to the equipment it supplies.

Hope this helps.
This was my earlier comment, and as near as I can get to answering your question.

Thank you Richard. Not so much of a problem as I thought.
