Nah, I'm with the doc - it's a very clever and very successful marketing exercise, backed up by a bunch of pfm toadies who are completely intolerant of dissenting views.

I know, I posted a dissenting view (I don't like the Audiolab sound) and I got sneered at and chased off.

PFM in a nutshell.

Since the big wigwam meltdown when PFM acquired a lot of their member (to share) it has become more and more a wigwam clone for rudeness and intolerance.

Hey, yeah - have you seen that I got banned from the Wigwam today --

You have been banned for the following reason:
constantly arguing with the moderators

Date the ban will be lifted: 12-09-2012, 09:00 AM

That is bonkers, the moderators at wigwam are the biggest offenders. It is like belonging to a club run by the mafia :violence-rapidfire:

I have also been informed that a lot of da management at wigwam don't want their member to post here, and are talking about banning them.

So my advice to any wigwam member who joins here would be to use a different membership name and don't link the two memberships..

Well for once Robert Holt is doing something worth having, he is steering the thread to welcoming him, but me thinks too late, the pricks have already done too good a job driving him off. It would have been more constructive if he had posted on the first page.

IMHO, its too little to late and probably prompted by people reading here, though the timing could be coincidence.

JF could do worse than join here.

We are too small to be noticed much yet, and he was trying to sell stuff to get some dosh. Also remember that we are being deliberately censored and censured at both PFM and wigwam (and probably now at AoS  ) and any links to this forum are being removed. It is a mini version of the press barons trying to stomp on Private Eye.

Well I think three things are now established beyond question 1/ that was John Farlowe 2/ a majority of the PFM "in crowd" are self centered nasty idiots 3/ he was driven away by them.

quote from JF's intermediary on pfm

"No phone number or email. John wants me to handle matters as will not deal
with the silly people that seem to populate the hi-fi world."

seems JF has a lot more sense that the majority of people on pfm gave him credit for .
