You have to know that you are not allowed to mention the initials nva or my name Richard Dunn or my avatar Dr Bunsen Honeydew or discuss the products we make in any way, or this forum. I am sure most member at AoS see and realise how bloody daft that is. It is part of the daft war started with me nearly a decade ago by Marco and is the ultimate expression of that daftness to try and stop nva doing business. Over time we can just hope that somewhere down the line they realise they do themselves no favours, and just make themselves look dishonest and stupid.

Nuff's Fierybum Phono stage has been on sale for two months with no interest. He is still charging more than what I paid for the Phono 1 on auction.

hum help!

Unread post by Dave Cawley » Sat Jan 13, 2018 10:33 am

http://theartofsound.net/forum/showthre ... post935802 (cut and paste)

Selling Rega turntables and arms for over 40 years, I can state that I have never experienced 'hum' caused by Rega's earthing arrangement.

As I can't post there, and just maybe the OP is listening here. I can say that every Rega arm I have fitted to Technics turntables has had hum problems. A simple modification to the arm earthing connection cures this. In the trade it's well known.

Regards

Dave

Brian, Gary and myself made numerous mains cables.

Different plugs/cable/fuses we sat down together and swapped them out at my place all hearing similar changes to the sound but not necessarily agreeing on what was best.

Brian has an awful lot of cable building experience and can detect very small sonic differences that different materials bring.

I do sometimes wonder if some folks just cant hear the difference!

What a smart deduction from one who hasn’t got OCD.
Cannot hear and do not want to go round hearing tiny differences that could be due to the weather. Air pressure affects hearing.

What will today bring from sewer rat Marco? Eat those turds rat.
