Predictions for 2018

Unread post by CN211276 » Sun Dec 31, 2017 1:48 pm

I have been looking into my crystal ball. :)

Tired of making a fool of himself because of his lack of hi-fi knowledge, Marco launches another forum where he can display his expert wisdom - The Art of Smut , or AOS 2. Contributions and images are invited.

Duvet instigates a night of the long knives on HiFi WigWam. He is concerned about the number of posts he has had to remove expressing concern about the direction Wam has taken and bemoaning the end of Scalford, on its 10th anniversary. There are mass bannings and in his frenzy he gets carried away and even bans himself.

Linn introduce a new belt for the LP12. The company state that it is the culmination of years of R&D and significantly improves the performance of the deck. The retail price is £500. The new Linn belt receives positive comments on PFM (mainly from dealers).

HiFi Global are concerned about declining revenue and a disappointing visitor attendance at Kegworth is the last straw. The powers that be hold an emergency board meeting at the Shambles, the outcome of which is the firing of CEO Pet Food Pete. In a statement the company thank him for his services, but believe that they have reached the stage where someone with a higher profile is required to take them forward.

Having banned himself from HiFi WigWam, Duvet has been unable to re-join. He finds alternative gainful employment as a bouncer for Mothercare.

Wishing to comment on hi-fi matters on AOS, Marco patches up his differences with Arkless and allows him to re-join as his technical guru.

Arkless announces that he will now be open all hours and provides an address – No. 1 at the end of the bar.

Boris Johnson is offered the position of CEO of HiFi Global, but declines.

TonyL comes out of the closet.

Rip Off Britain investigate Linn Products. The programme brings to light sharp practices dating back to the 1970s, including achieve CCTV footage of Linn reps in dealers show rooms and interviews with former dealers. It is revealed that the manufacturing cost of the new LP12 belt (elastic band) is 10p.

Back on AOS, Arkless wastes no time in promoting his new “improved” proto-type phono stage. Positive posts from Bigman, YNWaN, cooby and flatpopely immediately follow. The phono stage is not present at bake offs.

Nigel Farage is appointed CEO of HiFi Global.

Pet Foot Pete’s next business venture is flower arranging, again in the name of his partner. Hifinutt takes up the role of his PR guru.

Images appear on AOS 2 of the NVA starter system in Marco’s listening room. They are promptly removed and in a statement Marco claims they are fallacious and the result of a plot to discredit him.

Pet Food Pete writes to Lord Sugar applying to be on the next series of the Apprentice.

An online petition is launched demanding that Ivor Tiefenbrun is stripped of his MBE following the Rip Off Britain revelations.

Screen shots have been taken of the NVA A20/P20 at Marco house and they go viral. Marco can also be seen in some of the photos.

There is an incident of spontaneous human combustion in Wrexham. Dental records will be required to confirm the identity of the individual, but the remains are unquestionably those of a large male.

These all look possible...but can you do some tongue in cheek predictions, also? You know, some obviously ridiculous ones...;)

OK, I will also make some predictions for 2018:

Seeing 'Dunn agents' all around him, Marco will instigate the ultimate sanction by removing all of the letters N, V, & A from all posts on AOS (in future to be known as 'OS').

He will store these 'saboteur characters' in an underground pit dug into moorland overlooking his neighbouring village of Royston Vasey and camouflaged with heavily skid marked briefs donated by his 'inner ring', also known as the 'gang of 3 turds daily'.

There are, inevitably, some unintended consequences:

Marco insists that his 'TOY' speakers are the best and bans anyone who laughs at this, reducing the active membership from 160,000 to 14.

Macca's blog becomes the MCC blog, attracting hundreds of elderly upper class chaps to join up and start spamming the wearing of stripey blazers during bake offs.

YNWAN is reduced to YW (You're Without) and is adopted by Struth to serve in his dungeon as a eunuch.

Hifi_Dave becomes hifi_de and finds himself a figure of worship for German neo-nazis who misinterpret his all consuming spamming of 'Rega' products as a loving homage to the WW2 concentration camp at 'Riga'.

Arkless reappears with the username 'Potless' to try to get the last word in the long running 'Phoo vs BC' plugs debate.

BigMan becomes BigM and releases his own range of chocolate flavoured bullshit drinks...
