Hi Richard,

As requested - just checking in to see whether you have had a chance to test the Phono1 (with the apparent channel imbalance) yet...

regards,

tom

No I haven't bothered

Seriously though time to run full tests on the board I don't have at the moment. So in situations like this I tend to just replace the board as it is easier and come back to it when I have time. So your unit has a new board set for MC in it waiting for collection.

Hi Richard,

Thanks again for such a quick turnaround on the phono stage, and for allowing us another listen to the Cubix Pros and indulging further questioning from us both! I haven't repeated my test of the channel balance yet but it was sure sounding great last night, and inspired a late night listening/boozing session which I am regretting somewhat now.

I think you might have inspired my friend George to attempt to design his own phono stage!

cheers,

tom

Just to close the loop on this one - looks like Phono1 is perfectly balanced now (and sounding wonderful). I might upload a more detailed comparison vs a Rega Aria I borrowed whilst the Phono1 was being repaired at some point..

Thanks again!
