No - (hyphen), so not the real one who is happily munching his Whiskas as Wigwam now, his real home. He only snuck through our cat flap because he felt lonely as they had kicked him out.

New to the world of NVA and this forum

Unread post by Jonty2547 »

If I’m honest i’d never heard of NVA before joining “another” forum and after reading that under no circumstance must I make reference to this site, NVA or the Doc. It was kind of like seeing a bottle labeled “drink me” and doubting whether i should.
But, I did indeed drink and ended up here.
Also the odd “dig” here and there at RD got me even more intrigued as to why i shouldn’t audition any NVA gear.
So, the plan is to get the P20/A20 package + phono 1 as a starter to compare to my Croft integrated. If i like it the Croft will go and i will upgrade.
I did try to buy the TSS amp over on the other forum, but decided against it when i saw the history and the fact it should never have been passed on in the first place.
And for what it's worth..
I’ve spend the last 25+ years in the higher end of the motor trade (sales, service & technician) and am still gobsmacked that we still get away with charging what we do! When i was a salesman the sheer amount of people buying (unsuitable) prestige cars just to look good in front the friends/neighbours whilst almost bankrupting them in the process was laughable. Did the 2K set of wheels or any of the insanely priced accessories make the car any better to drive or worth any more on trade in?
No, no it didn’t, and i’m glad I’m out of it now. Utterly ridiculous.
Seems like the HiFi trade attracts the same sort of sheep?
