Bing (Bot).....WTF

Hi folks,
When i scroll down to registered users i see...... Bing (Bot)......Msn (Bot)......Google (Bot)......etc, etc, etc.
Are they forum members or are they just taking the piss ?.........cause i never see any of their posts....................
WTF,,,,,,,Are they all about............

my no techy explanation is that it is a computer programme that read the posts in order that searches can be more effective/effecient and comprehensive . you will also see a google bot

They are bots, spiders and crawlers, information gathering aliens ( ) employed by search engines to explore all web content so when a search is done it can link to us or anywhere else those words appear.

Obviously they are not aliens, just programs, but it is all a bit skynet (Terminator) :? I am waiting for them to become self aware and take over the web.

They are good things if you want your website to come up near the top of searches, and we have a semi permanent Google spider crawling around our underwear
