Eating together as a family?
Doesn't mean a thing to us.
My father eats too fast. I hate it when people are talking to me when I'm eating. My mother loves eating her meal in front of the TV while the ''3'' well known soaps are on.
What about you??

My Dad had a thing about eating round the table when i was young - Bloody hated it, dont do this dont do that.....
Elbows off the table.
Chew with your mouth closed.
Eat yer veg or no pudding.
etc etc.
We eat in the kitchen now with the telly on and the dogs eyeing us from afar...

Re: Eating together as a family?
Myself and Joy usually have our dinners on a tray on our laps in the lounge. The three girls all eat upstairs in their shit-tips that serve as bedrooms, (yeah I can here the howls of derision from here! I hate the practice but having almost started a third world war several times over it I've given up as Joy doesn't give a shit). Food, crap food, food waste and food etiquette is a very sore point in our house and I am often accused of being the food police.

I prefer to sit at the dining table, I find it's better for my digestion. My wife usually has a tray on her lap unless we have friends or family round.
