A lot easier to take the piss since the Doc started this thread. His comments about BJ on the first page are apt. Now the clown is PM. FFS :angry-screaming:

It's a reminder that I don't agree with the vast majority of politicians and members of the audience of this show.
It's all just emotional, knee jerk statements with a huge lack of logic and common sense.

But then maybe, politically speaking, I'm a throwback to Britain in the 18th century, minus the slavery and female repression and one or 2 other things...
:angry-soapbox:
Politicians are very good at understanding what tactics work with the general public. If the masses demanded logic, facts, balance and cold truth, and rejected emotional, knee jerk statements, politicians would (eventually) have to comply.

Let's get this out of the way first: I'm a life-long Labour supporter, I believe in trades unions for the protection of workers' rights, which is what they were created for, not the blunt instrument they became, and I'm an ex-union rep, the equivalent of a shop steward if you like.

Having just watched John McDonnell's speech on the BBC News channel, and the Q&A afterwards with him, and Jeremy Corbyn, I was struck by one thing above all. I did not feel the urge to throw something at the telly even once. Neither did I feel the need to vomit, and I didn't find myself shouting "shut up you lying bastard" at the TV either. I cannot say the same about Johnson, Gove, Raab, et al.

Obviously my opinion is personal. and very probably my opinion is highly biased, however, I do, honestly try to be as dispassionate as I actually can be. When any of the aforementioned Conservative MPs I cannot help the feeling that, if not blatantly lying, they are at least hiding something. McDonnell and Corbyn, this morning, came across as human beings who were telling me the truth as they know it. I cannot listen to Johnson, in particular, without "knowing" that he's lying to me. Let's be honest, he's lied to the bloody Queen so he'll have no problem with telling us plebs lies. There is not enough space on this forum to list every proven Tory lie since Brexit started.

I would trust Labour, I do not trust the Conservatives. As for Jo Swinson and her Lib Dems, they don't give a stuff about the future of our country, only getting a little bit of power for their delusional leader. Swinson has voted "with" the government more times than some of Johnson's cabinet, and she has supported Tory austerity and will continue to do so. She would rather let the country suffer than swallow her pride and form a temporary alliance with Labour to stop the Conservatives, and to stop Brexit, which is her party's single policy. She obviously doesn't want to stop it that badly.

Farage has shot himself in the foot, the leg, the bollocks, and probably the head too. He's lied to everyone, including the poor deluded buggers who paid him £100.00 per head to be considered as Brexit Party MPs. Even half of those who were told they'd got the gig have now been stood down, and they are not getting their money back. 3000 applicants at a hundred quid a pop, Easy money for Nige.

Anne Widdecombe. That's all. I don't need to elaborate, do I?

Johnson is on TV now. He's lying. Do you know how I know he's lying? His lips are moving. Good news everyone, he's just announced that after we "Get Brexit Done" we'll be able to ban shark-fin soup at last. This is the man who has been sacked, multiple times, for lying and just making shit up, and today, yet again, refused to confirm how many children he's got. Why on earth should I believe that this pampered, scruffy, leopard has changed his spots? No reason that I can see.

Well, that's what I think anyway. ;)

"Let's Get Brexit Done" the Tory rallying cry, is pure bollox. Getting Brexit "done" could take ten years, or more, of total effin' economic chaos. Only for those of us who haven't got their money offshore though, obviously.

Trade deals do not get done overnight, they take years, literally years, to thrash out, and don't get me started on trusting Trump to sort us out or I'll be here all day.

Agree with all that Slinger has said about the Clown and would add that he has misappropriated public funds to get his leg over. Whenever I see him, Rees-Mong or Farage on the screen I feel like putting my fist through it. They represent a rich and privileged elite, which includes the influential tabloid owners, fearful of EU tax regulations. Their biggest asset is the fossil leading the opposition who has the charisma of a wet blanket. He has today shown where he stands on Brexshite with policies that would contravene EU regulations. The Clown with his false charisma bullshit and lies will walk all over him in the tv head to head with the Lib Dem voice of remain he fears being denied participation.

Jeremy may have lots of plus points, but as said above, he is a genuine gift for the Conservative party.

And, I don't really think Boris is as much of a clown as people suggest.

Just saying. :)

Someone must told Jeremy that Openreach have a monopoly. They don't. Virgin Media, Talk Talk and City Fibre are all in that mix. How does that work?

Free Ultrafast Broadband may turn out to be quite a smart announcement. It can be seen as modern, visionary, optimistic and inclusive. It's got a feelgood factor to it. It would be a major boost to UK productivity, which is still lagging behind.

Obviously, the policy announcement is short on detail about implementation, the costs are disputed and there are more questions than answers...but such considerations didn't do Vote Leave any harm.

I think the likes of Dominic Cummings will have a sneaking admiration for this one...

I don't know what you're all cracking on about. They are ALL liars you simply pick the one that offends you the least. I certainly won't be voting for Corbyn or Swinson so that leaves me with Boris and his useless capitulation which is no better than May's pile of crap.
