They feed on attention and outrage.
While I agree wholeheartedly with the principle, she is legitimising this sort of conduct for her 1.1M (that's one point one million) followers on Twitter. I can't speak for other social media platforms.

If decent people don't tell others about the hatred she spreads then we're not prepared to counter and to combat it.

Trust me, I didn't post those to glorify her position on Islam.
It's a tough one, mate.

I feel like we spent the last 100 years refining and testing what information sources to trust, then, having done the hard work, we opened the portal wide open to both the most extreme views, and sophisticated levels of deception, without any requirement for fact checking. I guess there will always be those that look to spread lies / blame scapegoats but it feels like a mainstream activity, nowadays.

It has to be challenged. How to do that without giving it oxygen? Don't know. If only it were 'only hi-fi'... ;)

I think one doesn’t go far wrong if one gives oxygen to the voices of attacked humans themselves.
The new technologies and media give a mouthpiece to those who wish to spread the old “us and them” narratives, but those same technologies and media can also give voice to the maligned themselves. A voice that can be used to identify them as the humans. Humans to be empathised with and cared about.
The old dehumanising “us and them” narrative may well be easier to spread these days, but those same technologies and media also make it easier for us to see that all alleged “thems” are really, and fundamentally, “us”.

2 issues...appearing to not respect the Brexit referendum result, and Jeremy's leadership style / back story.

Any Labour leader has always had to overcome a highly biased tabloid press. Jeremy was raw meat to the press barons' attack dogs. A genuinely good bloke, and his policies would be considered mainstream in Germany and Scandinavia, but he was never going to be elected PM in a Brexit dominated election once he put forward a second referendum.

In the long term, this might not be a bad one for Labour to lose. Johnson must now own the 'Vote Leave' consequences.
Carry On Campaigning. Sounds like a film featuring Sid James and Kenneth Williams. With double entendres about ballot boxes, polls, infamy etc
(this is the taking the piss out of politics thread, after all)
Like it.

Up here, most people think I speak like Sid James

Anyway, you should see the size of my mandate...

I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.
