Re: Should Britain remain in Europe. ?
Continentals, even UK export ones don't see the differences between UK perspective and continental perspective. It is not just us it is being an island look at Japan, there is a sort of "this is our castle to defend from the savages" mentality, it is ingrained in us from history, all danger and change comes from outside according to the psychi of an islander, it is island mentality. You only feel it when amoungst it. It is like a cozy superiority, the Japanese have it as well regarding the Chinese and Koreans.
I am not saying it is a good thing or bad thing, it is what it is, but people should recognise it.

Yes I do - and the fact that I (and 2 million other British citizens) am not allowed to have a say in this really pisses me off.rikardo1979 wrote:idiotic? why? Re: Should Britain remain in Europe. ?
Strange that you have such a dislike of the EU, Rikardo. You and I are both European citizens who have made use of the freedom to live in another country and not be subjected to any immigration rules.
When I first came to Holland, I had to report to the police every 6 months as I was a 'foreigner'. Eventually I asked the Bitish Consulate here if I had to keep doing that. "Well, they can't throw you out if you don't". Was the reply. So I didn't bother to go anymore.
I like living in The Netherlands and I like the freedom of living in a united Europe with a common currency.
And I worry about what wil happen to my family and friends in England if the UK pulls out.
Me, I'll just have to change my nationality.

I do. If I had a vote on the issue I would vote against leaving Spain.Classicrock wrote:Don't you live in a part of Spain that want's independence? Now that is Nationalist Bollocks. If you F off abroad I don't think you should still have a say.Welder wrote:Pro EU but I live in Europe....Oh, so do you lot.
Can't abide all this nationalistic bollocks.
Well, you’ll be happy to know I won’t have a vote in the referendum but wishing to deny me a say because I left the UK for a better life seems a bit odd given I’m still a UK national.
Anyway, good to see the freedom of speech will be safe in the leave voters hands.
Interestingly, should the UK leave the EU those of us who have left the UK to live elsewhere in Europe will lose that right to do so. It will also make doing business in Europe for UK registered companies a lot more complex; just a couple of the problems that directly effect me.

Re: Should Britain remain in Europe. ?
I am undecided. I am disillusioned with the referendum entirely; the campaign has been negative on both sides. I hoped to see a completely impartial comparison of the pros and cons for each, but that just isn't available.
Argh!
Argh!
Re: Should Britain remain in Europe. ?
Simples you wish to see millions of imigrants flood uk.....
You want to chuck £23,000,000 a week to prop up the fukwits.......
You want to see Brussels dictate what Britain does.......
Then vote to stay in Europe.
How fukin difficult is it.

If you want to see a lot more immigrants coming in (illegally) and you want to destroy the British economy, making the Pound worthless - then vote out.
