A fantastic performance by Milwall tarnished by the scenes that followed the final whistle.
The "problem" is that we have 7,000 fans who turn up for every game, support the team and never cause any trouble. Yesterday there were 18,000 including 3,000 away supporters so double the normal Wall fans. South East London is not Chelsea. It's a working class area and most of our plastic fans were there for the day out. Booze, fags/dope and a big game means that the plastics can't control themselves. The club are not to blame; they do as much as possible but this is certainly a problem that needs to be looked at.
Whilst I do not doubt you are correct , is presents some what of logic problem if you seek devide fans who cause trouble in the name of a particular club , in to real fans and plastic fans . How does one define these terms and do you want the tabloids to report it as follows . "Today 1000 millwall supporters invaded the pitch and caused and trouble , 274 of these were real fans and the reminder were plastic fans "

My comment wasn't related to law enforcement, only to the disparity in attendances and the difference between those who support through 'thick and thin' versus those who self-describe as supporters but only turn up for the 'big' games.

I'm not sure, but I saw it too.
On the bright side our U18 team won The Toulon Tournament this evening, our U20 side is in the U20 World Cup final tomorrow (11 a.m. BBC2 for anyone that's interested) our Ladies beat the Swiss 4 - 0 and England just beat Argentina 38 - 34 in a cracking game of rugby.
