Resurecting this thread.
Years ago I read "Total Fitness in 30 minutes a week". And followed the fitness regime outlined in that book for a few years.

Since then, have any better books on the subject been written? Along the lines of a good way to get fitter without spending more than 30 minutes a week on it?

Or is the Morehouse book all you need to read on the subject?

Can be so many things.

There is an occult Chinese sect, The Black Hats, into Feng Shui and all that, who believe that good luck and bad luck are pockets of energy floating around and you can use techniques to attract the good one. It seems most people just walk into pockets of good luck energy without realising it.

True - feck knows, I doubt it, but it would be fun if it was true. Can you imagine the slurping bullshit that could emerge. Inventing a luck pocket finding meter or machine (doesn't have to work) and charge a bloody fortune for it - new Linn product

Well we have dowsing, so there is room for strange things.

Fitness and health are 2 different things. Health: yes I can go along with there being an element of luck.
Improving fitness for any healthy individual: no I don't see that as being down to luck.

True, but luck means fit people fall over and die, because bad luck was they had a bad heart and overloaded it. A classic example of this is Douglas Adams. If he had sat in front of the TV eating crisps he would probably still be alive.

Fitness means you can probably have a more enjoyable life, it as little to do with how long you live.

Lindsay, have you seen the BBC Horizon programme, "Eat, Fast and Live Longer?" It's still available on iPlayer, think it was first shown about 2013.
