Re: GENERAL ELECTION JUNE 8TH 2017
I've heard that Wikipedia are seeking Theresa May's permission to use her picture to illustrate their article on hubris.

Re: GENERAL ELECTION JUNE 8TH 2017
The parallels with the 1945 election are remarkable.
"The Conservative electoral campaign was centred almost entirely on Winston Churchill as the man who had won the war. The party's Manifesto was called Mr Churchill's Declaration of Policy to the Electorate, and it expounded the need for stability in government under Churchill's dynamic leadership."

Even though a majority of the voting public are eeediots you commit political suicide by treating them as eeediots

What also doesn't help is that Theresa May has the personality and appeal of a block of concrete. All Corbyn had to do was *appear* human
I do hope we don't get Boris in exchange though. By comparison he is a barrage balloon full of a mixture of helium and laughing gas.

At least helium doesn't explode when you put a match to it. The problem for the Tories is who to replace May with if not Boris. Ruth Davidson would be a possibility if she had a Westminster seat. Hunt will be forever associated with the NHS, Davis is too old, Hammond has little charisma and is tarnished by the budget fiasco, Rudd's majority is too fragile, Gove is a back stabber and looks mad, and so on. They probably have to go for a charismatic social and economic liberal type with a state school background. Greg Clark would be my choice: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Clark (as opposed to Clark Gregg of Agents of Shield fame).

No doubt Therese Coffey would try to put her ample self in the frame if the opportunity arose

Re: GENERAL ELECTION JUNE 8TH 2017
SHOCK NEWS - DVP (don't vote party) wins election
The Don't Vote party won 31% of the electorate
The Conservatives party won 28% of the electorate
The Labour party won 27% of the electorate
All other parties together won 14% of the electorate
Like Sinn Fein we will not be taking our seats
In an emergency meeting of the executive (me and my wife) I was voted leader of the party unless more than two non voters object and vote for someone else.
Our manifesto - change the voting and Parliamentary system to something more in keeping with our times and basically more honest.

Turned a 3.5 year majority government in to a 5 year lame duck government.
