Re: The Narrative Response .
None that I know of. But many have been killed and blown up in India by Muslims, is that our fault. You forget the wars were because we were trying to stop what they (the Muslims) were doing. DQ you are applying arse about face logic.
Also the recent campaign to exterminate Buddhists in Western Indonesia. It has always been part of Islam, invade, convert or die.

The bottom line - there's nowt so queer as folk.
It seems to me to be a perversion of the tribal instinct we needed aeons ago for survival. Now there are packs of "animals" hunting down their prey. This one is odd in being an individual but surely he must have got his ideas from somewhere? Seems much the same sort of idea that drove Brexit!

Re: The Narrative Response .
As a local I don't know where Sky got this from. Cardiff was very much Remain in the referendum, although Wales as a whole was Brexit. It looks like it was an individual with mental health issues acting on his own, with no brainwashing involved.savvypaul wrote:Described by Sky News today as a 'hotspot of right wing extremism'...CN211276 wrote:In the light of what has been happening recently this came as no surprise. Unpleasant business that.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:Also the recent campaign to exterminate Buddhists in Western Indonesia. It has always been part of Islam, invade, convert or die.
Similarly, Muslim Tamils may have a thing or two to say about how they've been treated by the Sinhalese Buddhist majority in Sri Lanka.

Re: The Narrative Response .
But the Indonesian Buddhists didn't start a civil war with a gorilla army, they just got butchered because they were Kafir. The Sri Lanka insurgence went on for so long the Sinhalese Buddhist said feck it the only way to stop this is to REALLY stop it, and they did.
Re: The Narrative Response .
I don't doubt that in the minds of the Sinhalese Budhists themselves there were justifications for what they did to REALLY stop it, I'm just suggesting that what they did may not have been limited to peaceful meditation and quiet reciting of mantras.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:But the Indonesian Buddhists didn't start a civil war with a gorilla army, they just got butchered because they were Kafir. Re: The Narrative Response .
The bottom line is that the price of peace is always high and it is often the "victim(s)" who pay that price. Fighting violence with violence simply results in more violence. Israel / Palestine is a good example.ArseHats wrote:I don't doubt that in the minds of the Sinhalese Budhists themselves there were justifications for what they did to REALLY stop it, I'm just suggesting that what they did may not have been limited to peaceful meditation and quiet reciting of mantras.Dr Bunsen Honeydew wrote:But the Indonesian Buddhists didn't start a civil war with a gorilla army, they just got butchered because they were Kafir.
