That is striking Lurcher, and I am compelled to make a comparison between the development of life on earth (evolution to changing conditions set against occasional cataclysmic events,) to the original thought which started the thread regarding boom and bust and its effect on the human condition, and how our world changes.
It's all chaos ultimately, and it's a similar mechanism working on different scales simultaneously.
