UK hurricane ?

Unread post by Dr Bunsen Honeydew »

Watch the course of this new hurricane, it is turning north so it will follow the Atlantic storm course which means it will eventually come to us as a storm, BUT in this case the Hurricane will not have hit a substantial land mass like the USA, so the power will not be as much diminished as usual - it is likely this one if it hits us will be another 1987.

If it means I don't have to make that God awful commute to work then it is a good thing! The windier the better.

As long as no-one is hurt obviously...

Don't you remember the damage the 1987 storm did.

Oh I remember it well as I was VERY busy for a VERY long time afterwards!
I remember one property in particular, it was a bungalow on the cliff top at Capel-le-fern, the wind had lifted the entire roof and rotated it almost 90 degrees! It was difficult to comprehend the power.
Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with Cumbrian Green Slate plinth / Audiomods 6 / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 2, NVA INT400sa. (Oh and a Copland CDA823 CD Player, for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)
