Just for a bit of fun, i dont mean we should have actual rehearsals

There must be a few people on here who play instruments, well or otherwise. Could we get a virtual band together ? What could you play, what style do you like ?

I will start off.

I can play drums and have done for over 25 years (semi pro at one time). I have a premier genista solid birch kit with zildjian cymbals. I love to play the jazz funk style e.g The Crusaders, The J.B's.

Its gotta be funky

I used to sing. More an Opera and Choir style though. When at school early days of groups forming in early 60s I tried out as singer for a school formed pop group, my audition was they asked me to do Peggy Sue. Peggy Sue done in a proper Baritone    they frowned at each other and said "can you sing it worse"

I really should have gone to music school but I just did on and off amateur stuff.

I rather like that, explains how you know about musicality too.

I can't play any instruments. Can't sing either and have been thrown out of pubs for trying. :guiness; :angry-screaming:

Fretless plays bass and sings. Slinger plays bass. Gromit is pro clarinetist and sax. Lots of others I forget.

I have an old Burns bass. Pity I cannot play it.

I play bass, used to sing and a little bit of guitar. The love of my life was my 79 Rickenbacker 4001 with Kent Armstrong rewound pickups, howled like a wolf on Viagra. Still got a Fender Precision and an Ibanez with very punchy active circuitry. My style was influenced heavily by Chris Squire of Yes, lots of twiddly stuff in the higher ranges.

I'm more of a guitarist than a bass-player (despite the fact I'm actually sitting here typing this wearing a shirt that says "Bassist" across the front) and I also play a bit of keys, and blues-harp too.

Brilliant, looks like we can get a band together.

We have a few bass players. I always liked bands with two drummers. Hows about a band with several bass players all playing at the same time ?

DRUMS - me
GUITAR - slinger
BASS - Fretless, Rick
CLARINET - George & Gromit
KEYS - slinger
VOCALS - The Doc, Rick, Fretless
SAX - Gromit

We need a trumpet & trombone player. Any takers ? Maybe also a percussionist.

Oh and we need a name........no not Doctor & the medics
