I understand the need for key words to meet Google search parameters, but I don't like the title as it stands - though it probably would not have any practical effect on whether I visited HFS or not.

But as an alternative could I suggest, "Richard Dunn of NVA invites you to the Hifi Subjectivist Forum".
Google usually displays up to the first 50-60 characters of a site title. Sometimes it will display more, more frequently not.

Many would be likely to see only:

Richard Dunn of NVA invites you to the Hifi Subje...

or

Richard Dunn of NVA invites you to the Hifi...

HiFi is in the Site Title. It won't require a repeat in the Site Description for SEO purposes.

Would be worth getting 'audio' in the description, I think.

Won't do any harm to have 'music' in the description.

I've trimmed the title to 50 characters, and included another keyword:

HiFi Subjectivist ¦ Audio Forum ¦ Richard Dunn NVA

Google now displays up to 320 characters (recommended to aim for 300) for the site description, so have expanded this to:

Discussion, articles, bake-offs, Doc-Mods, music. NVA reviews, loan scheme, orders & support. 'Elsewhere on the Web' - the forum they tried to ban! Phono stages, passive pre /power amplifiers, integrated amps, semi-omni speakers, interconnects, speaker cables, headphone amps. CD, Vinyl, Computer.

So far I've gone for 'keyword rich' for best performance in search results while trying not to look / read too much like 'spam'. We can be more conversational in the description if we can live without optimal search engine performance...

An example of a more 'conversational' Site Description:

Audiophile discussion, articles, bake-offs, Doc-Mods. NVA reviews, loan scheme, orders, support. Don't miss 'Elsewhere on the Web' - the one they tried to ban - shining a light on the conmen and egotists who are trying to take over the hifi industry and forums. HiFi Subjectivist is different!

Fewer keywords, but more 'message'...

As BB King said to Gary Moore: Too many notes.

I think there are too many words in the description. My eyes sees "too many" and I don't want to bother reading them....

So what about:

HiFi Subjectivist ¦ Audio Forum ¦ Richard Dunn NVA

Don't miss 'Elsewhere on the Web' - the one they tried to ban.
I am not a number. I am a free man
