A beautiful lady...

Unread post by savvypaul »

Timed my trip home from work perfectly, today, to catch a full panorama view of this magnificent lady passing under the Browney Lane bridge between Durham and Ferryhill. What a wonderful surprise...a beautiful and elegant train, she will be missed.

I couldn't stop and get a photo in time, so I borrowed the ones below from friends who 'met her' further down the line.

Freshly repainted in original BR livery for her farewell tour.

Timeless design, imo...

They certainly sound brilliant when giving it some beans!

It was such a shame that we squandered our chance with the APT. We could have been way ahead of the field if we'd financed it properly!

Savvy, I like how the Intercity 125 colours match the colours in your signature at the bottom of your posts. Coincidence? Were you subconsciously drawn to it ?
