Super Pink Moon

Unread post by NSNO2021 »

How super is a super pink moon ? I actually have no idea but apparently tonight is the night and if nothing else it's an interesting diversion in these troubled times.

Not quite sure where these "blue moon", "Pink Moon" names come from as they are neither blue or pink. It's just a full moon at the same time as the moon is at it's closest to the earth. It did look great though, especially with a few high-level clouds to frame it and scatter the glow.

Pink moon derives from an association with pink blossom occurring in April (according to Radio 4 this morning).
Super because the .. but I don't think you need the Father Ted lecture.
