Re: Opinions on how the Government have handled the coronavirus outbreak

I've just heard (from a confidential source) that the government will be introducing the 4th tier of coronavirus lockdown around Christmas time. They're still thrashing out the finer details but the cabinet has recently been in closed session watching Blu-rays of The Purge, and The Hunger Games.

No, really, that's a joke.

Funny I watched V for Vendetta last week, somehow it seemed strangely appropriate to the times we find ourselves in. The hero being created by drug testing on prisoners by a government looking to use a virus outbreak as a shield to their power grab. At least the film had a happy ending provided you weren't in Parliament on 05/11/20??.

By the way for anyone who has never read or dislikes Steven King, you might try his recent post on YouTube re: The Dark Zone and Greg Stillson. You might be surprised :epopc:

I am wondering if Wales will come out on 9 November as stated if England is in lockdown. England should have gone into lock down weeks ago as it was obvious things would get this bad. Putting it off has made things a lot worse. A huge mistake was allowing students to return to Universities. Cardiff had a very low infection rate before they came back. Since it has gone through the roof.

I don't know the answer to that Clive.

I get that the economy needs to be taken in to account but by delaying Boris & co are actually making the economic hit worse (imo ofc).
