Mr Mana resurfaces on Ebay.

Unread post by Classicrock »

Spotted this add for a modded LP12 and it turns out to be the former Mana Acoustics Owner selling.

Reading the whole advert looks like he's changed his mind and won't be selling. Apart from the Funk mods I can't see anything special about it though he is chucking in a Naim Aro and Whest phono stage. Optimistic pricing ?

Pricing is not optimistic at all as the turntable is LEGENDARY don't you know.
Audio Grail "Sable" Garrard 401 with Cumbrian Green Slate plinth / Audiomods 6 / Benz Micro Gullwing SLR, Phono 2, NVA INT400sa. (Oh and a Copland CDA823 CD Player, for when I fancy a bit of the devil's spawn!)

Mana shelves had their day in the sun didn't they? I seem to recall that some person recommended stacking multiples of the Mana products under an LP12. Not sure I really ever bought into the idea of placing a steel and glass shelf under a suspended table and getting improved sound quality. Or that it was significantly different than a Target shelf with a swap of glass for MDF. But that is just me personally, and I spent a lot of years living in an area with no LP12 dealers, so I didn't get the full immersion of the glory days.

What a load of babble for a tt sale ad. I hope that wasn't just the key bullet points of sale!
