The picture of the PCB shows it is a complete mess and shows signs of at least 4 repairs. It cannot be made to work again. And the reason why as well as the PCB damage is there are also power supply issues that will fry any new boards found or acquired from a donor amp. It is a door stop.

But note how the picture is highlighted with back lighting and photoshopped to remove marks and damage I know to be there (they were there when originally built). All this proves is the man is a crook, it seems ebay no longer believe me so they need bombing with complaints. AND this man needs challenging and exposing on the forums he posts on.

Some guy on PFM who modestly calls himself "toprepairman" has joined in the NVA knocking I see http://www.pinkfishmedia.net/forum/show ... ost2960968

He is idiot! he says he is a repair man and expert yet he obviously know nothing of or what is a ClassII appliance, send him this link. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appliance_classes

Also you would imagine a repair engineer would have heard of Loctite Output (315) obviously not, as he thinks it is Araldite. "Loctite Output 315 is a one component, thermally conductive acrylic adhesive used for bonding electrical components to heat sinks".

I get this ignorance all the time, but PFM seems to specialise in it.

Why is it that so many people, who should know better, think that nuts and bolts are better than "glue"? Correctly used adhesives can be stronger than fasteners and more tolerant of thermal effects. Not only that adhesives rarely come undone. I am sensing a similar attitude to the use of polymers instead of metal for casings. Polymers may not transmit heat very well but they are more dimensionally stable and, obviously, they are electrical insulators, something many of their detractors don't seem to appreciate. Mind you many don't appreciate the amount of structural plastics in use these days and might be horrified to learn of some of them.

At least the consensus on that thread is to avoid the amp.
