Richard Allen made proper drivers with good motors, these will dope nicely. Tweeter needs to be replaced though. This will end being a very similar project to karatestu's 3 ways.

Jamie, you never cease to amaze me with your finds, i like the look of these,
those feet look funky,if you thinking of of making a pair of stands for them and want shot of them, ding me a PM,

the feet are 70's wardrobe door handles by the look of them!
doc i reckon these drivers could be good candidates for the metal cabinet ideal you have.
Yamaha NS1000M speakers,Pioneer PLC-590 turntable,,Alphason HR-100S-MCS/Zeta tonearms,Denon 103sa cartridge ,Sony 700ES Amp,Sony X555ES CD Player, Nakamichi ca5 pre amp.
