I don't agree. The Heart Led Zeppelin cover..... Bloated, overblown and dull. Heart were second-rate back in their day.
I'm very much a Led Zeppelin fan of 45 years. This is not my favourite track. However I appreciate it's a popular song.
What's with the brass ensemble and massed vocals? Robert seemed to manage on his own.
What's next... Kashmir on Pan Pipes?

I'd like to nominate Isaac Hayes's cover of Bacherach and David's Walk on by. The original Dione Warwick version is stunning and the Stranglers did pretty good job of it but the Isaac Hayes version is a song I feel as well as hear. It's also a great opener on Hot Buttered Soul.https://youtu.be/g8ha68LhsjU
My stuff; Toshiba SR-370/Mission 774 /Ortofon Quintet Black, Cambridge CXC CD transport/modified Musical Fidelity X DAC/modified Musical Fidelity X10v3 tube buffer, Nakamichi CA5E preamp, Passive RVC, Proton AA-1150 DMC power amp ,Mordaunt Short Signifer on original factory stands, NVA LS5, Cambridge NP30 network player, Mogami with Neutrik RCA, Sennheiser HD650, 600, Koss Pro4 AA.

Isaac Hayes version of Walk on by is amazing. Police and Thieves by the Clash is amongst my favourite cover versions.

Also... all of the songs on "Love is a Strange Hotel" by Gregson and Collister. "Love Missile F1-11" by Pop Will Eat Itself. "White Lightning" and "Victoria" by The Fall. "Monty Meets Sly and Robbie" by Monty Alexander is another great album of covers, very well recorded as well.

The Futureheads - Hounds of Love is pretty awesome heard them do it live a few times with extended vocal harmony. Top notch.
