The British Constitution is about checks and balancs in respect of the three powers. It is clear that the Executive over stepped the mark yesterday. The Judicary could deem what happened illegal. I have an O level in British Constitution and it has not all been forgotton 44 years on.

To all intents and purposes we have seen what amounts to a right wing coup. The democraticly elected PM was kicked out by the right wing extremists within her party. They replaced her with the emptiest bottle making the most noise. He in turn replaced Ministers with extremists such as Rees Mog and Deadwood, hell bent on pushing the country over the cliff edge, even if it requires the suspension of Parliament, whatever the consequences.

We were voting *on* whether parliament should be advised to “remain” in or to “leave” the EU. Those were both pretty hopelessly ill-defined concepts at the time. Different people clearly had different ideas of what particular version of “remain” or “leave” they were voting “for”. But whatever the result of the referendum, it was the government and parliament that we’re going to shape the details. Even if only by their inability to constructively do so. And whatever shape “Brexit” eventually takes, it’s unlikely to look like what many people voted “for” in 2016.
My guess is that we’re many many years away from a time when UK political debate is not drenched in the consequences of the Brexit.

The fact that it’s just a few days more than expected is academic. What matters in the causing of all the fuss is the inevitable impact of those few days on sovereign parliament’s role in the Brexit “process”. And that the clear intent of the executive in proroguing for those extra few days was to make precisely that impact.

I totally agree and what's more during the Tory leader campaign only DR said he would, many others including Boris (in a letter to all the Tory members) said he would not prorogue parliament but then when has Boris or any of the cabinet been truthful

The letter saying he would not suspend Parliament are all over the Internet.

Discusions with the speaker on how to stop the madness are ongoing. They are all about procedures within the Constitution, nothing sinister as alleged by the nutters. Fingers crossed. This is aside from the legal situation which is also being pursued.
