There is more clarity now and I think Artisan is an appropriate name. Not so convinced by model worker and think some prespective purchasers could be put off. With the info which follows the names it seems a bit strange to have an odd one out, all the more so (as an owner of the A20 and A80s) the sound signature is the same. Going up the range just gives you more.
Main System
NVA BMU, P90SA/A80s (latest spec), Cube 1s, TIS, TISC(LS7)

DH Labs ethernet, BNC & USB cables, Farnells cat 8 ethernet cable

Second System
NVA P20/ A20, Cubettes, LS3, SSP, SC
Sonore MicroRendu, Chord Mojo 2 MCRU PSs, AQ Carbon USB cable & JB FMJ

Headphones

Hyperformer.

Because that's what you've done to make them different to the already excellent for the price old models. Fitted hyper transformers.

And why be modest? These are great amps! Bring on the bake-offs against amplifiers from certain well known brands that are good, but not that good, whilst being crazily stupidly over-priced due to them coming from a completely different cost model, including dealer mark-ups and large advertising costs.

Dealers (and advertising) are just forms of sales and marketing. Every company / product needs placement and promotion. Richard eschewed dealers because he thought they were not good value. He trod a different path (HFS was his marketing) - but NVA sales were relatively miniscule in the past 10 years. That suited Richard, but it doesn't work for us.

It is difficult to balance one's integrity and ideals against commercial pressures and the need to survive.

As someone whose existence is dependent on his own small business, I can sympathise with the direction that the 'new' NVA must follow.

Some necessary choices are hard to make.

It's not really a moral choice, it's about what works. Dealers and magazine advertising (and reviews) still bring in the most sales. Most of the specialist hifi buying market is currently old and conservative - just look at the Mary Whitehouse style reaction here to the name 'Model Worker'.

Apologies in advance, but Model Worker. means nothing to me..

Why not use musical terminology throughout the range, starting with for example...

Dolcissimo - "Very sweet" for the entry range, perhaps culminating in "Maestro" being the best you can produce?

I also tend to agree with some other forum members in retaining the A20, A30, A 80 etc.
