I think if I played a 999 album backwards then it would definitely sound better.

Tangerine Dream 'Tangram' (1980)

First studio album featuring new-member Johannes Schmoelling, 'Tangram' is a subtle, delicately-layered work that caresses the senses.

Listening again to the vinyl, it is as if I am hearing this record for the first time! There is so much detail and space that digital versions have not fully captured.
