Sorry to hear about your fall Fret. I know the feeling only too well as I have had a number of self inflicted dislocations including my left shoulder and numerous broken bones over the past 18 years mainly through mountain biking but also being a DT.
First week is always the worst by some distance, second and third weeks are uncomfortable but you can start to feel your on the mend and then it's just a question of sensible exercise and recovery. Fingers crossed you heal well and heal fast. ATB Paul

Get well soon, my daughter suffers from regular knee dislocation and found that ice packs / keeping it cool really helps quicken the healing as well as keep moving without putting any strain / weight on.
