KEF, Linn and IAG group. There's so much more to hi-fi than what those companies offer.

And the Blade listening session mentioned at the end. Play the same track in the same room at the same volume with certain cherry picked much cheaper speakers...

It also annoys me when companies are credited with innovations that other companies did.
Kef the first to produce concentric drivers? That's sloppy journalism. The Altec 604 Duplex was introduced in 1945. There may have been other concentric speakers before that. Kef were founded in 1961.

A fully working 1945 Altec 604 would be highly competitive today against the speakers that KEF, Linn and IAG make.

Weren't the uniQ's the first to put a dome tweeter in the voice coil of a speaker rather than Tannoy's, for example, treble horn in the centre of their dual concentrics?

If I were to be the first person to pick my nose, put the bogey in a jar and send it to space, that would give me nothing to boast about when it came to innovation in nose picking, jarring nor space exploration.

Mild variations on what's gone before are no big deal.
