Wallace, spot on.
Tiz easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a belt drive TT to become stable......................
According to jesus.....But then he did own a Pioneer DD TT.
NVA Super Sound Pipe (MK1) Instructions
Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe Instructions
Well if you look realy closely at the famous painting of "THE LAST SUPPER" you will plainly see that the desciples to the left and right of Jesus recoil in amazement
at his choice of turntables - it was of course a first gen Technics 1210 DD TT....................Say no more.
Repent you sinners.............

Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe Instructions
just to chime in here again.. if you need instructions on how to use a simple audio cable there must be something wrong .. the apparently over average return rate would confirm that.. so.. quote: keep things simple ... etc.
Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe Instructions
Doesn't anything come with instructions, arming the purchaser with all the information they need to enjoy the product and ensure it remains in serviceable condition? I'd rather something simple like an interconnect came with instructions if they needed special treatment, rather than find out when the connector came off in my hand.
Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe Instructions
sounds more like a caveat to me...
edit: and I really don't want to spark a debate about the SSP I/C's which are certainly sonically upper class.. I have SSC which are also quite fragile to the touch.. and naturally, you take a little more care with them .. but I wouldn't even twist or pull on the cable with any other audio cable, it just wouldn't be right... instructions or not..

Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe Instructions
I've had SSP's for a number of years and gone through a number or reconfigurations. They did break eventually but with careful handling they lasted very well.
I'd always employ the same fitting method now.
Order cables as close to correct lengh as possible (add 10cm for a run behind each plug)
Measure your space/requirement where you want it to run
Shape the SSP prior to fitting, handling only the cable, not the plugs
Once it is the correct shape, fit into position
Gently connect the plugs.
Leave alone!

I've had SSP's for some time now and never broke one mind you I don't touch them, I found if I did not play with the things they never break.

Re: NVA Super Sound Pipe (MK1) Instructions
Just like to say thanks for the quick delivery of the SSP1, it replaced an MIT Matrix 6 which I had found to be an excellent sounding interconnect. that is until the Sound Pipe went into action. And with the instructions here I had no trouble in installing it.
The claim that SSP sounds as if your entire amp has been upgraded is true. And the new level of 'lifelikeness', transparency and imaging is stunning.
Sometimes you make an improvement that makes you want to listen to ALL your favourite albums again, just to see what you've been missing all these years - this is one of those moments.
