Pack yer "Fin Pregger's partner" off to bed with a large jar of jellied eel's or what ever she craves - Then put yer feet up, watch the football, with a large dram. Job done Dan.......
Edit - Well Dan's just logged off, i think he's taken my advice...

What a dust trap!
Having now played with a Gyro SE with a technoarm on it, I do very much admire the careful engineering that's gone into it all. Glad you're enjoying all those records.

Re: My new Turntable...
P.S. 'Transcription' turntables were supposed to be more than good enough for 'transcribing' for broadcast or other reference/archive work as I understood the term. Like so many other buzz-words in audiophoolery over the years, it was seriously abused by Garrard with their lower models and other manufacturers back in the early 70's!
A proper transcription turntable from ther mid to late 70's at least *could* be said to be one of the trolley/console EMT's, or a well plinthed up Technics SP10 IMO, all the idler models being too noisy.
