You don't understand do you, that is why you will continue to have problems with me. YOU are TELLING ME what I am saying - I say crap as I am not saying that and you obviously know feck all about it, so leave it out or we will have problems again.
I tried but failed to find an answer.

there are things that do not require words to convey, Pi for example,
3.14159265359
But that’s the point (which I think you don’t understand) Pi (as a example) is a universal reality.

3.14159265359 is not pi, is a close approximation to it in the number systems we use, but Pi exists as a ratio beyond number systems and language.
And once again you have used words....
Yes, given the media we are using its required, but Pi as the ratio is a fundamental constant of the universe we live in, it would be the same anywhere in the universe, its built into the fabric of reality.
Nor do we know if number systems vary throughout the universe.
I expect they do, but it doesn’t matter, Pi remains the same. Its representation may change, but the ratio is constant.
But it is a shame cos my epistemology cures a lot of ills perhaps most importantly all forms of authoritarianisms.
It may do, but seeing it doesn’t seem to allow anything other than word games I doubt its of much actual use.

but it would be stupid of me to expect to talk phylosophy with an optician.
Why? is there some attribute that is required to talk philosophy that is absent in opticians, or do optician have something that prevents them from talking about philosophy?

Out of interest, what’s your profession that allows you to claim to be able to talk philosophy? (I assume, not a Optician, I would expect you to be able to spell it though).

AFAIK, Philosophy like Maths and any of the sciences is a huge field.

@Lurcher.
You ask if there is some attribute required to talk philosophy. I think people who are engaged in working with materials have difficulty when approaching epistemology. But there are also realists in philosophy, who abhor irrealists, as they fear that the fundament of our common existence is threatened. They seldom talk nice to each other.

As to spelling optician - English is no longer my first language and the computer's spell-checker is not to be trusted.

And I will have to plead the fifth as regards to my profession (that would be a no-go in Game Theory).

Here's a good thought experiment.
If we feed a signal from a calibrated function generator into an amplifier and we see on a scope that what goes in, comes out on the speaker terminals as a perfect magnification of the input, then we have achieved accuracy. The test equipment says so.

Now put a music source on the input and a speaker on the output. Listen to the speaker. Put another speaker on and play the same track. One speaker sounds different to the other. Keep doing this and every speaker sounds different to every other.
Which one is accurate?

Coblers.

I don't agree with you there.

So, people who enjoy listening to an LP12 are listening to "accurate" music ?
