Now onto 'Heavy Construkction' (3CD)

From King Crimson's European tour in 2000 with Belew, Fripp, Mastelotto and Trey Gunn.
Not my favourite Crim period or lineup and this is a soundboard DAT recording that is rough but acceptable.
I have never really got to grips with the 'Construkction of Light' album but in a live setting it seems to come across better. There is a re-recorded/re-worked version 'The Re-Construkction of Light' that I might have to get hold of.

'Heavy Construkction' is actually rather good, the playing is top-notch and Adrian Belew manages to be vocally less irritating than usual.

Last of the current King Crimson batch: 'Ladies of the Road' (2CD)

Robert Fripp, Boz Burrell, Mel Collins, Ian Wallace and Peter Sinfield recorded in 1971-2 in KC's most Bluesy/Jazzy formation. The same group that made the albums 'Islands' and the live 'Earthbound'. This later release is clearer and more comprehensive than 'Earthbound' and the old tapes have been exceptionally well restored.

The second disc is comprised entirely of sax & guitar solos from various performances of 'Schizoid Man'.
Mel Collins must have been seriously into Coltrane at the time.
It's a blast! :music-headbanger:

Tusker is nice for a lager. It is always like almost being in Germany in Diani Beach. Not many tourists from other countries.

I know, my daughter was in Kenya for half a year and brought me a can of it. It's enjoyable. To Diani beach she said that it was the nicest beach she has ever seen. Nice further holidays to you!

Diani beach is the nicest I have been to, we love it here. The local Tusker is far better than the imported version. There are quite a few varieties now including cider.

The music playing now is western, including Fleetwood Mac.

Shostakovich: Symphony No 15, his last. Still up there in my top 5 composers list (top 3 probably).
