RIP Rick. Apparently an infection related to a shoulder injury not his ticker. 2016 means to go out as it came in. Bloody awful year apart from the Brexit vote.

Very sad to hear yesterday of the passing of Peter Sarstedt. His 1969 hit, Where Do You Go To My Lovely, had a big influence on my listening tastes at the time, and was probably one of the songs that encouraged me to start writing my own lyrics. Please don't hate him for that. Although Where Do You Go To... is the track that everyone remembers he had more than one tune in his bag,..

"Where do you go to my lovely" topped the charts for a long time after I got my first transistor radio. I used to love hearing it on Sunday evenings on Alan Freeman Top 20 show. His sad passing does not seem to have got that much recognition. Think it could be to do with his lack of political correctness in some lyrics.
