I bought a pair of Super Sound Cords recently and the improvements over my previous (more expensive) interconnects were so marked it got me thinking about your speaker cables.
I'm currently using NACA4 that came with the speakers terminated with a female XLR on the speaker end. The rest of my system includes a Nait 5i2 and a DSPeaker Anti-Mode 2.0 DAC/Room correction.
My question is which of your speaker cables you'd recommend and would you terminate them with XLRs instead of bananas? I'd be looking at a 4M pair.

Did I answer this by PM? Jetlag brain muddle still
Anyway XLR is a bad connector for speakers, you need something more chunky for chunky cables like LS5-6-7. LS3 will do it with plug mods to let it fit the plug. LS1 fits easily.

Thanks Richard. You did. I'll look into binding posts for the Sara's.

Old thread now, but getting into old Saras could ruin the cosmetic as they were sealed up tight. The way Linn did it was to all but destroy the bass units before heaving the baffles off once the screws under the Velcro strips were removed.
You know, Saras are so characterful, by and large, that having an XLR or not really won't make one iota of difference in all honesty - in my opinion. They're a 3 Ohm load more or less, and the main thing you'll be hearing is whether the amps (generally) have enough current delivery to drive this load with a music signal.

Well thinking about it I can wire XLR but it will be a bit of compromise. I will have to use short lengths (a few inches) of wire that fits in the plug and the join the main leads to that. A bit of a bodge but do-able.
