NVA Styling

Unread post by Macca »

I'm on record as liking the styling of the NVA black box stuff. I was just wondering if it would be possible to offer white cases with white control knobs as well as the black version?

In theory acrylic is available in white or any colour - even transparent. But a one off case would put at least £100 on the price. Knobs are a generic one you can get from Farnell or RS, I don't have them made, and they are only available in black. Though I suppose they could be sprayed, but it would wear off with use. The knobs are black anodised and as far as I know you cannot anodise in white.

Ah well just wondering out loud really. I'm not that fussed what anything looks like providing it does the business but in an ideal world I would like my kit to resemble props from 'Space: 1999' :)

When I first read Maccas Q I thought "Meh!". But looking at the options on that link I'm now thinking how about as just the top plate? bit like those ASUS DACs and their elephants.

They are tigers.

Imagine speaker cabs being made with it.
