Usual Easter holiday:
Coving up and painted, walls painted, skirtings and doors glossed, carpet and underlay removed and taken down to the local refuse centre.
Thought that I would listen to a bit of music before hitting the pub for a game of boule
Bloody hell Stevie Ray Vaughan, Texas Flood - in particular an instrumental, "Lenny" - almost had me in tears; tender, expressive. I could quite get used to no carpet and a bit of reverberation (more like a hall/live venue).
30' x 12 1/2' room, concrete floor, speakers facing down the length of the room. Never mind £500 special cables - tear up your carpets people
no carpet

Re: no carpet
Guy I have no carpets at all down stairs, its a mix of wooden laminate flooring and floor tiles (A god send owning twa big Dugs)....
I do believe music sounds better without carpets......True.
Carpets for improved Bass.
Laminate for improved Midrange.
Tiles for improved Treble.
I am working on and intend to patent a floor covering that by incorporating all three materials will vastly improve any systems sound quality.
Am struggling to come up with a name for my new invention though - Did think about "Cartilate"..........False.
I thought about £120 per mtr would be fair......
