BREAKING NEWS:
Michael Fabricant's hair has declared itself to be sentient and has now emancipated itself. The hair is currently in talks with Mr Fabricant and the Prime Miniature, and they are working towards a deal involving Mr Fabricant remaining as an MP while serving under the hair, which seems to be the "brains" of the operation.

Boris Johnson's hair is said to be following the proceedings closely.

The English Nationalist Party (formerly known as the Convservative party) is morally and intellectually spent. The minimum of press/ media scrutiny of their inept, corrupt, cruel and dogmatic approach is shameful. Of course it all started with the big lie that is Brexit and once you are in deep there is no turning back. I think normal decent people will see through this now but there are dangers - our political system gives a lot of power to a small number of swing seats; the progressive vote will split while the right wing / reactionary / slurper / moron vote is Tory; the media is still peddling the big lie. My god, imagine another 5 years of these contemptable bastards……where will the country be?

We've finally got the Conservatives on the run, and what are we faced with? 5 years of Tory-Lite from that lying two-fazed Zionist cnut Starmer. Labour needs to get its act together and re-evaluate where it came from and where it should be going if it still wishes to be seen as the party of the working man.

Your idea of a party that appeals to the working class appears to be hopelessly out of date, if the opinions expressed in the ex mining villages around Durham are anything to go by.

The working classes around here will mostly hold their noses and vote for Starmer because he has made it obvious enough that he is not Corbyn, and because the Tories have not delivered levelling up, and because after 3 different PMs in 4 years, they are a complete shambles. The working class around here are aspirational for themselves and concerned about erosion of living standards and the lack of housing, but I have not found them to be the slightest bit interested in middle class leftie sensibilities about Israel and Palestine.

The people I talk to want the opportunity to earn decent money, buy their own house and have sufficient left over for socialising and holidays. They have next to naff all interest in any nostalgic view of old Labour.

The thing is, replacing Sunak with Starmer and the band of followers he's assembled while booting any dissenting voices, not to mention expelling more Jewish members for antisemitism that any leader in history - including survivors of the Nazi death camps - will not, in my opinion, and the opinion of the people I talk to, see changes of any note. Whatever you think about the current Labour Party, they are now too far to the right to ring any changes.

Starmer himself is a self-avowed Zionist. His wife is Jewish, and his biggest financial support when he ran for leader came from Israel. He is irredeemably compromised.

**Braverman's husband, by the way, is a Zionist Jew, which maybe accounts for the "Hate Marches" comments, etc.**

Starmer is currently ignoring all and any calls for a cease-fire in Gaza and has threatened to expel any shadow cabinet members who vote in favour of one, if the SNP's motion to call for one is selected by the Speaker today.

The Labour Party is Labour in name only these days. I was a Labour member for many years, and I've voted Labour and supported them since I was old enough to vote; 51 years. I now consider myself politically homeless and left the party some time ago, due to Starmer's politics and the group of cronies and sycophants he has surrounded himself with.

He, and his party (because, make no mistake, it is HIS party now) will not be the change this country wants and/or needs. Starmer needs to be ousted and a more moderate, centrist even, leadership needs to heal the party and hopefully heal the country too, Labour was always proud of being a "broad church" with room for voices of all persuasions. That is no longer true.

To some extent, the distance which the Conservative Party has stampeded towards the (far?) right has disguised the Labour Party creeping in the very same direction.

A quick side note on the Conservatives. The Rwanda scheme has, today, been deemed illegal by the High Court. The right wing of the party reacted immediately, and 30p Lee (the Conservative deputy leader) called for the party to "ignore" the High Court, and "get planes in the air" anyway, along with further calls for the country to leave the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR).

Apart from the fact that leaving the ECHR would have zero impact on the High Court's decision, the reasons we (this country) helped formulate and set up the ECHR, and why we still need it are shown in the graphic below. These are the guarantees and protections they want to take away from us; as if you needed any more reasons to get the Tories out. ;) Replacing them with the current Labour party, however, will not help us. In some areas, they are actually more cold-blooded and heartless than the Tories.

Why is someone 'irredeemably compromised' if their wife is from Israel?

We all have our own backgrounds and prejudices. I'm from a large Irish Republican family, but it doesn't stop me understanding that Unionist heritage needs to be valued and respected. It's the ability to act in the best interests of all that will decide how he performs as PM.

I say that not simply because his wife is Jewish, and he is funded by Israel, but also because of his public statement avowing that he "supports Zionism, unreservedly," which to my mind is incompatible with the current public and party mood.

He will not listen to the electorate (his job) who are calling for a ceasefire, he will not entertain or even enter into a discussion with the members of his own party calling for a ceasefire, and he will not support anyone who does not already agree with his blinkered view of the world.

That's why I see him as compromised.

He would rather sack his front bench than allow them to vote for a ceasefire in Gaza. He is scared of what a free vote would signify for his leadership because he will not entertain any point of view but his own. He's not a leader, he is a piss-poor dictator, compromised by his own one-sided views and by those who fund him.

Starmer has called for a 2 state solution. An independent and prosperous Palestinian state alongside a secure Israeli state, and the avoidance of a wider conflict in the region. He's also calling for humanitarian aid to be drastically increased as a matter of urgency. I think that's fair enough.

Ceasefire? There was near enough a ceasefire before Hamas deliberately massacred 1400 civilians in cold blood. It's ridiculously naive, imo, to expect Israel to agree to what would likely be a unilateral ceasefire while Hamas holds another 200 of its citizens hostage.

I hope Starmer does sack any front benchers who cannot bring themselves to act like a government in waiting rather than flounce around like sixth formers.

The electorate may be calling for a ceasefire but they are also calling for asylum seekers to be sent to Rwanda.

Some of the Labour rebels (including some of the front bench ones) will have been doing so to protect their vote at the next GE. That's political expediency.
