I dont expect you to do the work for nothing or any cheaper. The value of the work you will be doing is more and you are a business, i am just a hobbyist.

Stu..

It's your time m8 which an expensive and significant portion of any mods, I don't expect that for free.

My business is basically a hobby that funds itself.

Fair enough Alfi i see where you are coming from. Just wanted to repay you for the time you have spent online advising me on turntable things. It would be my pleasure to do something for you.

My head is full of thoughts about phase although i dont thnk i fully understand the concept. Caps and inductors produce phase shift. Getting rid of them by doing the filtering mechanically at speaker level is one way of minimising phase shift. At line level removing coupling caps and output inductors is another means of attack.

I am unsure how caps and inductors to ground affect phase but they clearly have some bad effects as can be seen from the improvements made by removing the zobel network. My power amp has a low pass filter in the input section with a cap to 0V but i dont want to remove it as it keeps out rfi.

Yep, I would agree with that, never seen why they are so highly rated. Better when used in a shunt, but even better if not used at all.
