Re: HFS at the WAM show
Missed your room and every other room as neither Ithi or myself had the benefits of room minders. I think Ithi saw a couple of other rooms. The A20 is always there as back-up, at your Doncaster meet up as well. Your red speakers are always received well but few people seem to realise they are not what they seem, they are not point and squirt they are open baffle so you have to include the room, all open baffles are partially omni.

Re: HFS at the WAM show
I liked the sound you were getting in the room Richard, the bigger speakers sound more successful to my ears, lots to like about them.
I thought it was a mixed bag, some good sounds, some surprisingly poor sounds. Hard to say what was at fault when you dump your home system into an unknown room. Anyone who gets a good sound under these conditions is doing well.

Would they let me have a room ? Risk of electrocution signs would need to be displayed.

Re: HFS at the WAM show
You have two routes as one of our two booked rooms or join Wigwam and do it direct. There were some DIY bread board stuff but nothing as extreme as you.
It costs you about £100 for the room if you set up Sat and break down Sun eve. More if you want Friday night or Sunday night to stay.

Yes, I miss the days when you didn't have to sleep in the room you exhibited in.
For a small system it doesn't take long to get it out the car and set it up on the Sunday morning.
