I love war films in fact anything about wars :text-bravo:

There have been so many good war films over the decades. My favourite is Apocalypse Now closely followed by Platoon and We Were Soldiers. I think i may have a thing for Vietnam

Mine are mostly set at sea especially submarine films but for dry land it's got to be Fury.

''The Life and Death of colonel Blimp'' - Pressburger film (Powell & Pressburger) made some very good films in general. I suppose it's not strictly an 'action' war film, but more of a film thoughout the wars.

I'm not a huge fan of the genre tbh, but I have some affection for Bridge Over The River Kwai. Then there's "Zulu" of course, which, at one time, seemed to be on TV every other week. The Killing Fields and Apocalypse Now are both superb, but I don't actually consider them "war" films; they're "human" films. I thoroughly enjoyed Heartbreak Ridge, but that had Clint in it, so it's a bit of a given for me, so I'd better include Where Eagles Dare and Kelly's Heroes too. I've got Flags of Our Fathers and Letters From Iwo Gima on Blu-ray but, so far, I haven't got round to watching them.

keep your favourites rolling in, it has reminded me of one or two i had forgotten about.

There is a certain feeling i get when watching a well made war film. Very emotionally moving for me at the sacrifices that were made and the horrific destruction. Not a film but i loved Band of Brothers and The Pacific.
