Re: Your last YouTube watch & listen
Queen --- I know they are more than popular but I really don't appreciate them, I would rather go to the dentist than listen to a full Queen album and that's me being polite, Teddy Swims, I like but Yebba is singing her own song and it shows, it's a raw, honest and compelling stripped back performance. I know everything to do with music is subjective but that's what I want to see/hear

I always thought Queen sounded like what you might get if Status Quo were asked to write an opera...nilsatisnisioptimum wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:05 pm Queen --- I know they are more than popular but I really don't appreciate them, I would rather go to the dentist than listen to a full Queen album and that's me being polite, Teddy Swims, I like but Yebba is singing her own song and it shows, it's a raw, honest and compelling stripped back performance. Always thought the Stranglers never quite managed to be Ian Dury and the Blockheads.

I'm glad they didn't manage it. The two bands were each magnificent, in their own right.Ordinaryman wrote: ↑Mon Nov 23, 2020 10:56 pm Always thought the Stranglers never quite managed to be Ian Dury and the Blockheads.
