I quite enjoyed that.

Your last musical choice ("mellotrontastic") was Genesis "The Fountain of Salmacis ". You asked the host (or was it the other way round) which version was going to be played, live or studio, or wot. So it was the regular studio version. On listening, this rather surprised me because I was hearing things I never heard before. Must be because I'm used to the old compressed vinyl copy . Didn't think the remastered would have brought so much out.(For instance, those early Genesis lps were subpar on the bass recording.)

The song ends with the lyrics, "Our lover's dream had been fulfilled at last. Forever still beneath the lake." I had always heard it as: "Forever to be still as One."

Anyway, funny that just yesterday I heard "Salmacis" done acoustically with NO MELLOTRON ,just piano and Gabriel's voice dubbed over.Yngve Guddal & Roger T. Matte.

The Qobuz stream of the 2007 remaster of Nursery Cryme sounds very good.
