savvypaul wrote: Fri Jul 14, 2023 1:10 pm I'm very pleased to say that NVA will have a trade room at the show. In addition to our current ranges, we will have some vintage items and some doc-modded speakers.
It'll be interesting to hear what people think of the Doc-modded speakers. Are we talking about the full Monty steel-lined cabs, or just with treated cones?
The intention is to do the Full Monty. The only caveat is that we have been so busy over the last 3 months and orders obviously come first when it comes to prioritising work.

NVA is delighted to be helping the WAM's chosen charity, and the UK's most unique hifi show! In addition to taking a trade space at the show, we are also donating a new NVA system for the WAM's charity auction - you need to attend the show to be able to bid.

Wam show NVA charity auction system

Getting near to the show now, and I am delighted to announce that an incredibly generous gift of a system from NVA will be in the charity auction, all proceeds of which will benefit our chosen charity.

I'll post details below of the system as described by Paul from NVA. And add our thanks to Paul for his support both to the show and the charity, the Barnsley Hospice.

"We have a new integrated amplifier and Cube speaker in a very cool white acrylic (professional photos happening at the back end of this month). We will add interconnects and speaker cables, so the winner only needs to plug in their source(s). The system is perfect for small to medium sized rooms and the speakers are designed to go near the wall. Would also make an exceptionally stylish office set-up."

NVA AP20 Integrated Amplifier (35 watts per channel) RRP £1200
NVA Cube 3 speakers (semi-omni directional, sealed box, bookshelf) RRP £1000
NVA SSC interconnects RRP £130
NVA LS3 speaker cables RRP £210

That is a very nice touch Paul we raised a very decent amount for the charity last year and hoping this will be the same this year as well . It is getting closer now an I have started a large bag being filled with wires , routers tools and other essentials that I might need . So far my system has worked every day without any issues and is sounding really good as well . I still have plenty of time to wreck this but I am much more careful and methodical in my plugging and unplugging so any issues should be avoided . I am still keeping my fingers crossed that the hotel Wi-Fi is going to be okay if that works then it will be an easy install and should have music by late Friday afternoon giving me the time to help out on Saturday and go wandering in the night to listen .

To say I am apprehensive is huge understatement, of late I wake up each morning asking myself why I said yes, why I have forked out a lot of money to do this when money is tight, lets hope I get my kit there and back safely and that the weekend provides a positive answer to the WHY ? question.
Onward and upwards ;-)

Our plans for stacked Quads and doc-modded Dovedales had to be put aside due to the number of NVA orders in the past 6 months, but we are bringing along a minty pair of 1968 Goodmans Magnum K-2...it's all about that bass driver!!
