A stupid but honest request to make a child adult happy

Okay this is stupid but I am not having a great time currently and I need silly distractions . NVA people would you please consider an option to fit meters to your Power amps even if only for me . I have had this stupid but honest desire to always own an amp with meters on it watching the needle dance was a silly adolescent joy . I love you amps and own quite a few but would love it if we a stupid pair of meters were attached to the front the grin inducing joy it would bring would just at this moment make me happy . So what about a silly desire being made reality ?

Amazon has several VU meter devices that sit between pre and power amps.
Maybe one of these would do?

Edit: can run off an i/c from ' Tape Out' too. Then it isn't in the direct signal path.

I don't think it's stupid. I've always loved the look of these...

What Fretless suggests looks like a good compromise, but don't be fooled by the "apparent" size. Chinese ads are notoriously misleading.

I used to have JVC Ja-a 44 integrated amp.
Used to be able to pick them up for £10 on eBay.
They use some of the same components as Yamaha studio monitors, and actually sound pretty great.

Not NVA sound quality, but way better than your would think. Had VU Metre in the front.

I use to buy them, squirrel them away, and give them to friends for their starter HIFI systems.

They now go for a lot more. But could be worth a shout.

I’ve owned several of these. Ja-11, JA-s22, and 44.
To my ears, the 11 was the sweetest sounding.

Some use the tape monitor feature and pass through a tape deck or like I have done an R2R with meters

It's always interesting to read about what 'stirs the loins' of enthusiasts...
