If you like to swap kit regularly ("Two ever changing systems")...I'd probably go for what would sell-on easiest.

They are ever changing. I’m replacing both of my turntables, fancied a change.

But this new turntable for the living-room (Kuzma or Nottingham Audio) is likely to stay for years. Hopefully, many years.

So want to try to make the best informed choice.

I've heard the NA. I thought it sounded a bit like it looks - solid but a bit clunky (not great timing). Of all the belt drives, I preferred the Well Tempered Versalex (that's not a looker, though) and the Rega 10 (which was a lot of fun, and looks quite cool, imo). Never heard the Kuzma.

I did go with the Nottingham Audio in the end. I got a Hyperspace with heavy kit, and a few other minor upgrades. Tonearm is an Origin Live Conqueror, but I also have an Encounter 3c that I might try.

I have to say, the timing is rock solid. I expect all the extra platter mass has solved timing issues.

It’s a fab deck, but it’s an absolute PITA to setup. Plus it’s in a confined space, so working on it requires disassembly and rebuilding elsewhere. Then reassembly.

I’m pulling it apart again today to have a third attempt at getting it ‘just so’. The issue is that the tonearm mount is held on with just one bolt, and it’s not firmly locked in place. There is play in the position of that mount, and absolutely nothing in the manual for where that mount SHOULD be. I’m currently getting a touch of sibilance on upper registers of female vocals. The cart is in the correct position according to my charts, but if the tone arm is slightly out of position, that would account for the problem. So third time’s a charm.

Cart is Koetsu black, using Tom Evans Groove MK2, rebuilt specifically for this cart.

I’ll pop over to the WAM today to get some advice on the NA deck.
