I have one 'audiophile' network switch feeding my most revealing system. The Silent Angel Bonn N8 (sold in the UK as English Electric, I think).

I did notice a definite increase in clarity over a standard, unmanaged Netgear switch.

Others here swear by Cisco switches.

The JDS DAC should be noticeably better than the Topping.

Not sure it qualifies as a hifi switch but I use an Apple AirPort Extreme linked by cat8 from the VM router- it provides 3 outlets , a usb for my Audioquest jitter-bug & additional wifi only for that room- streaming n TV
It provides me a stable and immediate connection from iPhone to ifi streamer

I have two Cisco switches which cost peanuts. The first one connected to the router and NAS brought about a subtle improvement. When I added a second connected to the streamer the improvement was significant.

AQ Jitterbug - one of these stuck in the USB-port of the central modem/router can add a subtle refinement to SQ throughout the network.

Hmm interesting , so its still doing its thing just because its in router system and not just in the signal path.

Jitterbug damps and smoothes out electronic 'noise' in devices with a USB socket. Because all network traffic passes through the central hub, every reduction in possible disturbance is beneficial for the purity of the data stream throughout the network.

I have them sitting in all my streaming PC's and Pi's but not in the signal chain.

I have a JB connected to my streamer and at the other end of the USB cable a iFi Ipurifier connects to the Mscaler. They make a subtle but worthwhile difference. The importance of filtering and also good PSs in the digital chain should not be under estimated.
